In his works, Tho­mas Wach­holz ex­plo­res the mea­nings and as­so­cia­ti­ons found in the for­mal cha­rac­te­ri­stics of eve­r­y­day ob­jects. He com­bi­nes the vi­su­al style and ideo­lo­gi­cal foun­da­ti­ons of po­pu­lar cul­ture with geo­me­tri­cal ab­s­trac­ti­on.
